In his heartfelt post, Carnes expressed his dismay upon realizing that a line in the second verse of "Who Is This Man" was theologically incorrect. The original lyric, "who left the keys of sickness and death lying in His grave," inaccurately reflected the biblical message. Carnes clarified that according to Revelation 1:18, Jesus holds the keys of death and Hades, not that He left them behind. This realization, which came too late for the initial release, left Carnes feeling deeply remorseful and surprised that the error had not been caught earlier. "It gutted me once I noticed it," shared Carnes. "I was shocked that we even made it that far without me or anyone else noticing."

To rectify this, Carnes announced a new lyric to replace the incorrect one: "WHO TOOK THE KEYS OF DARKNESS AND DEATH FROM THE CONQUERED GRAVE." He urged fellow worship leaders to adopt this correction when leading the song and expressed his intention to release an updated version with the revised lyrics as soon as possible. Carnes emphasized his commitment to theological accuracy and apologized for the oversight, underscoring the importance of each lyric pointing to Jesus. "I don’t take lightly the responsibility of theologically accurate songs."
