Niki Lou Savich, an emerging voice in Christian American and Folk Music, is preparing for her upcoming debut album next month with the release of her second single, "Home."
"Home" expresses the aching loss of one's home through the death of a loved one as it draws the listener into a quest to find home once again. The lamenting lyrics tell the story as the plaintive music mirrors the emotion of this timeless journey. Home is found at last when one is reunited with the beloved on "that other shore."
Niki Lou writes, "After both of my parents passed only six weeks apart, and when I was able to write again, "Home" is one of the first songs that flowed from my broken heart. It expresses how I felt about losing my mom. To me, Momma was always my home."
Niki's debut album, Million Tears, will be released on Friday, October 11. The 12-song compilation is comprised of hope-filled laments that will bring peace and encouragement to anyone struggling with the loss of loved ones.
The album was recorded at The Poole Room in Franklin, TN with three-time Academy of Country Music Keyboard/Piano Player of the Year, Gordon Mote, alongside an accomplished studio band that brought Niki's vision to life.
