BEC Recordings announces a new addition to their roster with the signing of Florida natives Among the Thirsty. The band will release their debut radio single, "What Love Looks Like," on February 14. Click here to check out the band's single on iTunes.
Among The Thirsty was established in Clearwater, FL in 2008 when the band began touring together. They released an independent single, "I'd Need a Savior," in 2009 that charted in the Top 10 of the R&R Monitored AC chart. The band shortly moved to Nashville to pursue their musical career adding their fifth member and drummer making the band the five-piece group it is today. Ryan Daniel is the lead vocalist, Brian Henderson is the guitarist, Brock Douglas plays bass, Riley Donnell plays both guitar and keys and John Wall is the drummer.
"Being signed to BEC is incredibly exciting," shares frontman Ryan Daniel. "When you're a kid, you dream about getting a record deal, and it's not until now where I realize how much work it takes to make that happen, and more importantly, being signed is the starting line. Getting signed is not 'Making it,' in fact, this is where the real work begins, and we are excited and blessed to be a part of a record label with such a cool history. This is a dream come true."
Among the Thirsty is currently working on their label debut that will release later this year. The album is a personal reflection of the journey hitting rock-bottom and finding God's gift of desperation there and through grace seeing one's worth to God. The band has been described as "The Beatles of Christian Music" by Jon Rivers of 20 The Countdown Magazine.
