Flyleaf's Kristen May has announced her plans to record and release a solo album, which she plans to fund via a pledgemusic campaign.
The title of the album is
Conversations, and Kristen is already in pre-production. The pledgemusic campaign launches on August 4. Meanwhile, fans are invited to create t-shirt designs for the project for a chance at a mention in the pledgemusic project and a $100 prize. In her initial announcement, Kristen May shared her excitement and gratitude, saying "Can't wait to share more with you in the next couple weeks!! Thank you to everyone who has supported me and cheered me on along the way! This album is for you!"
Kristen took over lead vocals for Flyleaf when founding frontwoman Lacey Sturm stepped down in late 2012, and her voice and writing shaped most recent Flyleaf release
Between the Stars. However, she was already an experienced singer and songwriter prior to joining Flyleaf, having fronted the group Vedera. Stay tuned to her artist page for more information about her solo project and pledgemusic campaign.
