The missing pieces are filled with love | Posted April-04-2011
Sometimes a small sample of an artist's song has you hooked from the beginning. Sometimes it's the lyrics, or the band itself. Most love songs have missing pieces, but the song "Hero" sings volumes and fills the missings pieces with the love devoted especially to Jesus, and all He has done for us. "Feel it in your Heart" again brings the love of Jesus, but yet the lyrics can be interrupted in many different ways. I am quite excited for the new release of Abandon's album, and i know i won't be disappointed in their God-given lyrics of praise to our Savior.

Is this familiar? | Posted March-23-2011
Why is it whenever i hear a new singer? A new song? I always think of who does that sound like? Every singer has their sound, their style that makes them unique. Francesca plays the guitar, sings, and is a new mom. Is her new sound country/pop? Whatever it may be, Francesca is the girl God made her to be. Check out her new cd.

Great R&B/Gospel sister trio | Posted March-22-2011
Modernized oldie sound? Church choir? R&B? Hip Hop? I always liked the diversity of their music, and how they use Gospel and R&B to deliver the Christian message. I heard some of their new songs or remixes of original songs on Hype radio network, and Headz Up FM.com. I really like their improved sound on the upcoming cd.

Unique band | Posted March-22-2011
The first time i heard this band i thought of the band, Inhabited. Then i thought the band was a youth group worship band, I was surprised to hear the unique sound they had. The female vocalist sounded somewhat similar to Sara Acker, of the band Inhabited. I was surprised to know that this is not their very first album.

Great Album by Hawk Nelson | Posted February-09-2011
I think i heard Hawk Nelson's first album, when they actually came out. The first album was more of a punk rock anthem, with mostly love songs, and broken relationships. Their recent release "Crazy Love" is more matured, and full of Christ-like lyrics in the language that the younger generation would understand. I love the new sound, and they have even added a little bit of screamo in one of their songs, but it is not as much as some cd's, it is mostly towards the end of the song. I would definitely recommend this cd, it is worth it.

An at home Christmas Album | Posted December-21-2010
I really loved the last song "The Christmas Song". Tait gave the Christmas vocals of Nat King Cole. The whole album made me wish for family get-togethers, snow, and warm fires. I recommend that everyone buy "The Christmas song" version by Newsboys.

Amazing sound | Posted September-25-2010
I love the new sound in this album. It is like a new morning, as the sun rises. I hear the words every morning on my iPod, and it motivates me before class. The lyrics are amazing, i especially love the vocals on "Start Over". I guess that is why you named the album "Light up the sky" cause it reminds me of a new day with the Lord and His love, and how we can start over.

Awesome Lyrics! | Posted August-19-2009
I really love Skillet's music and the lyrics they write! I like how they center their music on a relationship with God, and how as Christians we still face the pain, hurt and the things that life throws our way. We are living in a world that is hurting everyday from people and the situations around us! Skillet's music touches many people that are searching for answers but are not really sure how to find them! I like how Skillet's new album "Awake" has a soft piano and sweet violins that are combined with great guitar riffs! I believe the lyrics in the new album are much deeper than the past stuff they have written! I believe it is also amazing that the band has two chicks that can really rock out! Korey Cooper is amazing on the piano and the guitar...rocking out with her husband! I just have to say i recently saw Skillet for the first time at Harvest Crusade! They really rocked the show! I would definitely recommend Skillet's music to my friend that is depressed and many other things! I would recommend Skillet to anyone that wants great rock and lyrics that are real and truthful...! Rock out with Skillet!

Introduction to Christian Rock! | Posted August-12-2009
I remember when i first heard of Rebecca St. James from a free cassette sampler from the Christian bookstore. I was instantly hooked to her song "Pray", and that was the first time i heard Christian rock! My family and I also remember her #1 hit "Yes, I believe in God" lasted at #1 on Christian radio for at least a month! Over the years i have listened to Rebecca's music and it just gets better and better! I really love the new song "Wish (Shoulda Coulda) over on her myspace page, where she speaks of a friend she needed to help in their time of need. I really love how Rebecca writes her lyrics from Bible verses. I remember her concert and i was so excited because it was the first time i had actually seen an artist live on stage. I talked with her a few minutes backstage and it was really awesome! My whole family and everyone i happen to know loves to listen to Rebecca St. James! Her music is very catchy and gives praise and honor to the Lord! If you are looking for a great Christian rock singer...listen to Rebecca's very first album up to the latest! I love to listen to her music over and over again...it is very encouraging and uplifting no matter where you are! If you can go to one of Rebecca's upcoming concerts which happen to be really amazing when it is live!

Sister Band | Posted August-12-2009
I remember first hearing about Barlowgirl when i attended my very first concert! My friend and i went to see Rebecca St. James while she was on tour with Barlowgirl and Jadon Lavik! It was a very fun and rainy night! I really enjoyed and still enjoy the song "Average Girl"! Not many people these days admit to waiting instead of dating, some people find it strange or weird! I love the song cause it also applies to my life and it is very encouraging when you don't want to follow the flow! "Average Girl" is the anthem that they possibly encourage for others to avoid heartbreak and many other things that could follow. From that song i was instantly attracted to the message in their music and what they stood for. I believe it is also awesome that they are a sister band that all play their own instruments! If you are looking for encouraging young women with great lyrics and a great rock sound...listen to Barlow Girl!
