The only reason I didn't give this album five stars is because the diversity between songs on the album are not as strong as I would prefer, but this album is still so fantastic. Some of the most recognizable Switchfoot songs come from this album. They definitely kick it old-school with this one, but then again this is from the "old-school" days =)I would recommend giving this album a try, especially if you have never really gotten into Switchfoot before! It a great starter to a Switchfoot collection. Not bad for thier thord try!

I saw that someone else had said that this album is repetitive. I would agree slightly but think that this album delivers. It is worshipful and yet there are no "worship songs". Shawn really knows how to utilize different instruments. The way he uses strings on many of his albums is really beautiful. This is definitly an album worth owning. His words are profound and moving. Very Christ-centered. A solid performance.
Good but not great | Posted June-24-2008
I think some artists do well when they decide to do something different with their music, and some do not. Mae could go either way depending on your music taste. Singularity is not their best album for sure, but it is decent. I found that it wasn't the kind of CD that I could listen to over and over again. It drfts far away from the Mae of Destination: Beautiful. Noble effort, but I think this album fell a little short.

Before there was "super" Mute Math, there was "little" Mute Math. Little, not so well known Mute Math, was an emerging artist with very little material to prove its worth. But with what little they have here, in the Reset EP, was enough tp skyrocket them to where they are now. This is slightly electronica, and very catchy. The track, "Control", takes control of its listener and draws them into the rest of the CD. Not a musical masterpiece, but worth a listen, especially to Mute Math fans.
Dominating Debut | Posted June-24-2008
Most artists get better over the years. This is true for Jeremy Camp, but his debut album is amazing. It pulls at your deepest emotions and draws you to the one we should always be drawn to: Jesus Christ. I just found that this particular album, helps me focus on the things in life that matter. You can feel Jeremy's hurt and his passion for the Lord through his struggles. I highly recommend his other albums, they are all fantastic, but this one is definitely one you should get first. Five stars all the way around. Although, for you newer Jeremy fans, this CD is a little bit more edgy and hard rock-esque, but still very good.

Jon Foreman is simply amazing. This EP (Winter) is probably my favorite of the three that he has currently released. The versatility that he excercises on this EP is phenominal! He uses lots of fun and different instruments in his solo music. It's so engaging and very lovable right from the start. Nothing like Switchfoot. So Switchfoot lovers: beware...be ready to have your socks knocked off by Foreman but in a very different way. Good work here. Very talented, still quite young musician.

Sanctus Real has done it again! We Need Each Other is a step up from their last album The Face of Love. The melodies are soaring and will stick to you like cling wrap. The lyrics are worshipful, clever, and arranged beautifully. The CD starts out strong with its purely rock anthem "Turn on the Lights" and doesn't stop a beat until its meaningful ending track "Legacy". It's title track and the hit song "Whatever You're Doing (Something Heavenly)" are truely worthy of their play time. The band brings in the gorgeous, unique voice of artist Katie Herzig for the track "Half Our Live" and "Eternal" adding a nice touch to these soft, slightly un-Sanctus-like songs. There are certainly a few weaker songs on the album, that are still good. But for nine bucks, you certainly are getting your money's worth! Any Sanctus Real fan should own this album. Anyone who isn't a fan, you might just become one after getting this album!
