Unattended - More than just GREAT music! | Posted April-16-2013
Trinity Productions has released 10 songs selected as the final tracks for The Unattended Soundtrack, music from the upcoming motion picture Unattended - The Cost of Neglect - a Christian film that will be produced in Tampa, FL. Whether you’re a Christian, a non-believer or somewhere in between, we all have a human commonality when it comes to life experiences, loves and hurts.
The soundtrack kicks off with Keaira Lashae partnering with producer Floyd “Flip” Wilcox on “Unattended”, a old school R&B, street flavored anthem-like track that gives the album an edgy introduction. Before you know it, you’re in another world in the follow-up track, “Hold On” - a slow jam embracing a piano backdrop, setting the eyes-closed, head-grooving pace for the rest of the track. The duo shows versatility with the country ballad, “Because of You” reminiscent of Carrie Underwood (Jesus Take the Wheel) and Lee Ann Womack (I Hope You Dance). When it comes to the single, “At Your Word”, one can’t help but think that Tampa native Craig Lamar has taken a page out of a love gone bad diary, making you take another look at who and how you love and what we choose to see. “Change” (an uptempo, John Legend like beat) is a song that also makes you considering the loves in your life.
As the album progresses, your ears are pleasantly hit with the handclappin’ Pop track by Drew Seeley. This is a mid-tempo acoustic song about the importance of changing for the better and having a strong, positive mindset. The album reaches its crescendo with another Tampa native, Brenda Johnson’s undeniably strong voice and vocals on “Come Back Home,” followed by a jazzy instrumental, “Delightful Shade” from Sweet-a-Chord and producer Samuel Christian laid to a Lisa Stansfield (“All Woman”) vibe that demands attention and Latosha Cherry’s neo-soulistic “A Little Peace”.
All in all, The Unattended Soundtrack is an uplifting album that’ll make you move while inspiring you to be at your best and reconnect with what’s important in life. More than just a great album, proceeds from sales will be used to fund a motion picture of the same name.
