Shadow Over Kiriath by Shadow Over Kiriath by
This book is probably my favorite book in my favorite series. Karen Hancock continues developing the imaginary land of Kiriath in a way that creates a desire in the reader to know more about this place.

It is fairly slow moving. Involving a terrible secret which I was able to guess within the first couple of chapters, the book failed to create suspense. The drama is sometimes stretched a tad too far and becomes almost boring rather than intriguing. The romance was predictable and the leading male character is extremely one-dimensional. The danger then becomes seeing all men as perfect like “Mark”. What were the redeeming factors? There is a strong Christian message to it. Also the portrayal of schizophrenia seems to be fairly accurate. For Tracie Peterson, this is some of her best work, but it is obvious that she still has a long way to go.

Excellent Read! | Posted July-18-2012
This book is probably my favorite book in my favorite series. Karen Hancock continues developing the imaginary land of Kiriath in a way that creates a desire in the reader to know more about this place.

This allegory has made me think about spiritual truths in my own life often. I am convinced that sometimes well-done fiction can impact the reader more than simply hearing the facts.

This book always has me caught up in the intrigue, the adventure, and the drama within its covers.

I would highly recommend this book to any person who actually enjoys reading. (Of course, one must read the whole series to be properly effected by this, the third book!).

Karen Hancock is an excellent authoress and "Shadow over Kiriath" simply reiterates that fact!

Great Book | Posted August-28-2009
This book is a very good read. This book intrigued me intellectually and morally. Some very deep subjects are dealt within its confines. It is a science fiction book. However this book is also deeply tied with the Old Testament! How does this work you ask, just read it!!!

Good as a stand-alone | Posted August-28-2009
This is a fairly good book. I read it as a stand alone without the rest of the series. Within the book they make very frequent references to the rest of the series however and this made me want to read the rest of the series. The book itself is full of action, suspense and intrigue!

Pretty Good.. | Posted July-08-2008
This book is by far my favorite in the Mark of the Lion series...I've read it a couple of times :)... The story is very well written with each character being well developed. So well developed, you can feel like you know them personally. I would recommend this book by itself or in the series.

There was a bird... | Posted July-08-2008
I liked this cd so much. Each of the songs are unique and extremely well written. The lyrics are a bit vague in content, but are still piercing. Just like many other cds the more often you listen to this cd the better it gets. As I've listened to it personally my opinions on different songs have changed and my favorite songs have changed. I would recommend getting the special edition cd because of the dvd that comes with it which includes concert performances and hilarious bonus footage. This cd is a fabulous buy.

This cd and its counterpart completely blew me away. The unique thing about this cd is the story that goes with it, this story is so beautifully written it can make one cry. Besides the story there is sooo much other stuff worth exploring in the cd case. Reading the story while listening to the music will definitely enhance the experience, but the music can also be enjoyed by itself. Showbread has put together a classic.

This book is pretty awesome! So so many different stories about martyrdom are told with about 2 or 3 pages dedicated to each martyr ( if I remember right). This book is extremely challenging. would I be really willing to die for my God?

Hello! | Posted June-12-2008
This cd is beautiful, I can't think of any other way to describe it! Compelling direct lyrics along with very good music makes it a great buy. A great mix is found on this cd and almost anyone would probably enjoy listening to it.

Bells of Lowell | Posted June-11-2008
This book with three in one reads very much like one of those four in one smaller books. The difference is that the characters and stories are developed more and each of the characters from the books are in the other books so you end up seeing their life after the end of their 'story' per say.
