The Real Me

Adriana That's exactly what it was for me at least, very eye opening. It's a great book for anyone to read, whether you've struggled with an eating disorder or not because that is not even close to everything...
AMAZING!!! | Posted December-12-2008
This is one of the best CDs of 2008, in my opinion. Brooke had such an amazing voice and her lyrics can speak to so many people. She talks about real life issues in her songs. "More Real," the second song on the album, is a way of saying that God is more real than anything you may be going through. "Farewell" is one about saying farewell to all of the mistakes you've made and giving them up to God and not letting them keep you in bondage anymore. "Breakthrough" is an awesome song that could really be made into a prayer by anyone who just can't feel God or has kinda drifted away from Him. A way to just let Him know that you still need Him and that you still love Him and that you just need Him to breakthrough and let you know that He's still there. "OK" is an excellent song that speaks the truth that as long as you have God in your life, everything will be ok. It's a song that really spoke to me and really helped me to see that that really is true. I recommend this album to anyone who is considering getting it. You really should get it. It's one that can help you through any tough times you may be facing or that may come your way. I can, personally, never listen to this CD only once. I always end up putting it on repeat and I never get tired of it. :) Brooke just may end up being the next big thing. :)
OH MY GOODNESS!!! | Posted November-19-2008
AMAZING CD!! I only have 3 of Natalie Grant's Cds...but I honestly think that this is probably her best. Well out of the ones I have it is for sure. Don't get me wrong, the other ones are amazing as well, but this one just blew me away!! There aren't very many songs that make me cry. I almost never cry from listening to a song. "Safe" is the song that really got to me and made me break down the very first time I heard it. This song just really hit me because I struggle a lot with often feeling as if God has left me and that as long as I've got Him in my heart, I'm always going to be safe no matter what life may throw my way.
"Perfect People" is another one that really got to me because I constantly struggle with trying to please everyone around me and make sure that everyone is happy and what not. Despite the many times I've listened to this song, I still struggle with my people pleasing tendencies. But with every time I listen to this song, the closer I become to fully realizing that I need help in getting through and overcoming this because it's not good for me and it's only bringing me down. But I know that it will ultimately be a process.
Every other song has a special meaning for me and means something different and special to me. But those are the 2 songs that I really wanted to point out because they are amazing songs and just 2 of the songs from this album that really got to me. I recommend this album for new and old Natalie Grant fans. So go out and buy it if you haven't already!! :) :) :)
different, for my taste of music anyway! | Posted November-19-2008
Most of the music that I listen to is more upbeat than Aaron's style of music. But I still love listening to this album. I first came to know of his music because my mom would constantly play him in the car. I don't know how she came to know of him and his music. The first song I ever heard of his was "My God My Savior." AMAZING song by the way. I also love "Stillness(Speak To Me)" and "Give It All Away." His songs on this Cd are all amazing but those are just a few of my favorite. :)
Didn't think I would really come to be a fan BUT... | Posted November-19-2008
I certainly AM a fan!!! :D I had never even heard about these guys until June 5, 2008 when I went to a Casting Crowns concert. They were the opening act. These guys have excellent stage presence, and not only that, they rocked right from the start!! Although I didn't know any of their songs, that certainly didn't keep me from rocking out right along with them.
When I saw that my mom has bought their Cd, my initial thought was "Are you kidding me?" because I didn't know much of their music and while I had enjoyed the show they put on, I wasn't sure if they would ever be a band that I would be able to listen to on a regular basis, or even every once in a while for that matter. And it took me some time, but eventually I loaded their Cd onto my iTunes. Still, I didn't listen to their music much. Then, while I was on the computer one day surfing the web and listening to my iTunes play list, "Hold On" began to play. Now I may have heard the song a time or two before, but I certainly didn't pay attention to it until this time around. This particular time, it really hit me. And has since become my favorite Daniel Doss Band song. :)
You should all really at least LISTEN to this album and when you fall in love with it like I have, which I'm sure you will, then you should definitely buy it so that you can listen to it over and over and over again. :D
awesome cd! | Posted November-19-2008
I didn't really know if I would like this cd or not because I bought it after only hearing one of Britt's songs, "Set The World On Fire." But I really liked that song and from what I heard in that I song I really liked her style of music. This was from only listening to that one song. So I was kinda nervous when I bought the Cd because I was worried of what I would do if I began listening to it and decided I didn't like it cause then I would be out of luck cause it would've meant that I had just blown money on a Cd for no reason at all other than for one single song I had heard.
When I got back in the car I immediately opened the CD and place it in the CD player. The first song on the album is "Holiday" which is a VERY upbeat song. One that I didn't necessarily like at first because I just didn't see the point in it at first and it wasn't one that really clicked with me other than the fact that it was upbeat. But, over time, it grew on me. My 3 favorite songs on this Cd are "When She Cries", "Don't Worry Now" and "World That Breaks." All 3 songs hold specific, special meaning for me.
I really love this album and the songs have really good meanings to them. Some you can even create a meaning of your own, if it appeals to something going on or that has gone on in your life.
Eye Opening!! | Posted November-19-2008
That's exactly what it was for me at least, very eye opening. It's a great book for anyone to read, whether you've struggled with an eating disorder or not because that is not even close to everything that Natalie covers in this book. She covers everything about that and more. You may learn about issues you struggle with that you didn't even know about, I know I did. It's one of those books that can definitely help you to learn a thing or two about yourself, but it can also equip you to be able to help a friend in need.
It's also one of those books that you can read over and over again and never get tired of. One of those that, if you don't write personal things in it that you wouldn't want to share, then you can pass it along to friends and family. Or it could be one of those books that if you do write personal things in it, and you think it could help a friend or family member out, then it can cause you to go out and buy it for that person. I haven't yet but I think I might eventually. No matter how many times you read it, you will more than likely gain new knowledge that either you forgot the first(or more) time(s) around, or that just simply didn't catch your eye the first time around. It's also nice to go through it time and time again, and when you come across those parts where you had to write things down, it's nice to look at that and write down things as you read it again, and see how far you've come in that time period.
I suggest this book for anyone who is looking to learn something new about themselves, even if you don't struggle with an eating disorder. I also suggest buying this book for a friend or family member that you think could really use it. You never know, it could be the one thing that changes their life, or at least has an impact on their life. :)
GREAT book!! :) | Posted November-19-2008
Now I'm not interested in dating any time soon because I don't feel like that's the road God is calling me to go down, but I can honestly say that in reading this book, there was so much stuff that I highlighted. And I really did get a lot out of it. And although I may not use any of the information from it myself any time soon, it has provided me with a lot of resources and information that I will be loaded with the next time a friend comes to me for guy advice(I literally always have friends coming to ME for guy advice for some reason). lol I highly recommend this book if you are thinking about getting it. It will provide you with a lot of information about what goes on in a guy's mind and give you a better idea of how to communicate with them. Even if you think you know all there is to know about guys, I can guarantee you that there is at least one thing from this book that you will learn for the very first time. And if you're like me and not into the whole dating thing, then you can use the knowledge you gain from this book to help out friends when and if they ever come to you for guy advice. :D
Great collection of songs!! | Posted November-17-2008
This album includes 2 songs not written by the girls "Enough" and "No One Like You" but the girls do really good versions of these songs. "Porcelain Heart" is an excellent song about having a heart broken and how God can mend it together, make it whole again. "Thoughts of You" is a great song about out love for God and trying to offer ourselves up to Him and how we can sometimes struggle with it. It would be a great song to use for worship. "I Need You To Love Me" is another one that would be great for worship. It's a great song about how we don't deserve God's love, yet no matter how many times we fall and no matter what we do, He will always love us. It's a cry out saying that we need God's love, especially in the hard times. And that even if we push Him away, He will still be by our sides. "Let Go" is a great song about giving all our hopes and dreams, and just our whole LIFE over to God and allowing Him to do whatever He wants whenever He wants or needs it to happen. This album also offers and acoustic version of "Never Alone" and the radio edit of that song as well.
With the expanded edition, you also get some extra stuff when you pop the CD into your hard drive. There are some really amazing stuff in the context of that hidden stuff. :)
All in all, this CD is absolutely AMAZING and if you're thinking about getting it, then you definitely should stop thinking about getting it and go out and buy it already. :)

I first came to know 330 Plan when I went to Hume Lake Christian Camps. They played there for 2 years. They are so amazing. All that they do is for God and this Cd shows it. :) I would say that "Sweet Offering" and "We Are Hungry" are probably my two favorite songs on this album. :) I would highly recommend this cd. The songs are all really good songs for worship as well, so if you're looking for new music for a worship band, pick up this cd, listen to the songs and find the music for the ones you want. :) They're amazing. :)
