Lacey's Life Screams Out To The Rest Of Us | Posted December-30-2016
Lacey Sturm caused a riot when she left Flyleaf.  She had so many fans waiting for more music from her, so when "Life Screams" came out, millions flocked to buy a copy.  It was well worth the wait.

The album begins with the strong lead single Impossible. The lyrics celebrate the ability God has given us to live the impossible, to do things we never could've done if we were on our own.  The line Every morning I see another miracle harkens back to Lacey's autobiographical book "The Reason".  Songs like The Soldier and Feels Like Forever encourage us to trust, fight for and hope in God, even when it feels as though we will never conquer the darkness around us.  The song Rot warns of a detrimental lifestyle that will only bring the person to ruin and hopelessness and it screams out for God's aid.  Run To You and Faith are softer tracks that tell of tender love, with it's struggles and challenges along with it's joys.  I'm Not Laughing calls out bullies in their act, with Lacey screaming repeatedly I'm not like you/ I'm not like you/ I'll never be like you.  You're Not Alone deals with just that: the feeling of being alone in your life.  It reminds many very strongly of Lacey's younger days of feeling abandoned and useless.  The title track, Life Screams, urges listeners to become receptive of the miracles and wonders arounds us.  The spoken word track, Vanity, is a prelude to Rot that uses amazing imagery and features artist Propaganda.  The live cover of The Police's Roxanne is a very passionate rendition.

Overall, this album, both lyrically and musically, was a hit and has fans thanking the Lord for calling out to Lacey, which enabled her to call out to so many of us.

Just the Beginning for VERIDIA... | Posted November-23-2016
This EP is the perfect way VERIDIA could've chosen to introduce themselves.  From beginning to end, this is as solid as you will ever get in music.  "We Are The Brave" is an anthem that sets the tone for VERIDIA's whole career.  It is heavy, strong, hopeful and encouraging.  The guitar and drums are as pounding as the vocals.  "Disconnected" makes us aware of the fact that we can't get through this life alone, that we need each other to survive.  It's electronic elements are a very fitting addition in this track.  "Furious Love" is a literal diamond.  Besides being the first song I ever heard from VERIDIA, it's lyrical genius shines through.  "In a sea of silver stars, still the sky was dark and so you dreamed of me.".  How can you beat that?  "Mechanical Planet" has a repetitve, driving beat to set the tone and a melody that fllows suit.  It's meaning is haunting.  "Mystery of the Invisible" is a strong, powerful ode to the invisible nature of God.  Everything in this EP stands out from the crowd and demands a few hundred listens, too.

Keep It Coming! | Posted November-23-2016
This is such a great second installment of VERIDIA's music!  "Crazy In A Good Way" kicks it off with a wild guitar and drum intro and then vocals and lyrics to match.  Gets you up, dancing and thanking God for the way he "wrecked your life"!  "Pretty Lies" is a beautiful song that has elements of a pop dance song.  It's message is greatly needed in todays society.  The lyrics say just the right thing and make you go, "Hey, I never realized that's the way I felt, but it is!".  The guest vocals by Matty Mullins is also a great plus!  "At The End Of The World" is a confident, heavy song, both in it's music and lyrics.  It reassures you that God will never forsake you and makes you want to scream and shout.  "Say A Prayer" is a beautiful rock ballad that is almost shocking in it's obvious sincerity, though all of VERIDIA's songs are very honest.  It's a gorgeous song that realizes the importance of real prayer.  The "Pretty Lies Valot Remix" is a very fun reimagining of the original.  All in all, this EP promises that VERIDIA has broken new ground, but still holds the same awe-inspiring levels set up by Inseparable.

Another side to VERIDIA | Posted November-23-2016
This EP displays a different side to the band....And they absolutely own it!  Deena's voice projects, Kyle's drum beats get more complicated and Brandon and Trevor's guitar skills stand out.  All the songs on this are worth buying, but they were nice and made them a free download.  "Tightrope" really showcases Deena's vocals and the lyrics are stunning.  "Dirty Secrets" has a fun drum beat and the lyrics hold hope for those dragged down by their flaws and imperfections of the past.  "Young And In Love" has a deeper meaning than most people realize and in additon, has some very impressive guitar lines.  "Don't Be Afraid Of The Dark" is a soothing song amidst the heartbreak and sorrow of life and VERIDIA can pull it off just as well as they can the energetic staples of their music.  "Still Breathing" has an upbeat, victorius edge, both musically and lyrically.  It shows that, despite your troubles (and sometimes even because of them), you can rise up and hold on to the fact that you're grateful to be alive.  An impressive EP!
