Great Devotional | Posted November-06-2008
I remember doing thid devotional right after it came out. I loved Rebecca's insight and I really enjoyed growing closer to God through this devotional. The pics in the middle of her family were really cute too...haha

Great Plot! | Posted October-02-2008
I loved the plot of this book! It kept me totally involved in the story. I love Karen's style of writing. You feel the emotions that the characters feel. While this is certainly not my favorite book by her, it is still awesome!

Beverly Lewis is one of my alltime favorite authors, and this book did not disappoint! I love the Amish settings of her books. The ending of this first book in this series left me wanting much, much more! It leaves you hanging and you are hooked-you absolutely HAVE to read the next book to find out what happens. Leah deals with her wayward sister Sadie and ends up getting in way over her head! Amazing story!

Emotional book! | Posted September-09-2008
This book was awesome! Ashley's pregnancy issues was something I could sympathize with. I have many friends who have had difficult pregnancies, and Karen writes about their emotions perfectly. Ashley and Landon handle the news beautifully and realistically. Such an amazing story of hope!

Great! | Posted September-09-2008
I have to say, these books have made me more sensitive to celebrities. I cannot imagine being followed by paparrazi. Karen writes of Dayne and Katy being hounded by rumors and lies and it puts their marriage to the test.

What I was waiting for! | Posted September-09-2008
I have followed the Baxters through a couple of series, and this is the book I was waiting on! Katy and Dayne finally get married! This book was everything I had hoped for. Karen keeps it realistic though-not long after the marriage, things threaten to tear them apart. Great book!

Beautifully written! | Posted September-09-2008
This is one of the first books I ever read by Karen Kingsbury. I started this series and the Firstborn series around the same time, which was kind of confusing, but cool at the same time. Karen writes about things that happen to real people and makes you feel like you could fit into the story. You feel the emotions that the characters feel. This book deals more with Kari than the rest of the Baxters, and it is an amazing story that will keep you reading late into the night. I could not put it down, and then of course I had to read the rest of the series...

I think Karen Kingsbury is an amazing author! This is the first series I ever read by her. Now I am hooked and on a mission to read every book she has written. She makes me feel like I am part of the story, like the Baxters could be friends of mine. Love this book!
