Word of Mouth | Posted June-05-2012
This album displays John Reubens intelligence yet again. The lyrics are thought provoking as always and the music doesn't lack anything either. The best song by far is Focus, but all of the songs are great with the exeption of Good Evening which is just a regular track. Overall a great job by Reuben!

The Boy vs. The Cynic | Posted September-19-2010
Yet another example of Johns brilliance. The lyrics on this album are the best he has written. The only songs that aren't that good are the "happy songs" specially "So Glad". But the serious songs, darker songs carry such great meaning to them that nobody who listens to these songs with heart can really say that they didn't start to think about lifes situations in a new way.
The best songs are "There's Only Forgiveness", "Chapter I" and "The Boy vs. The Cynic"

I love this album! Both music and lyrics are great. If you're a fan of hip-hop you should definitely check it out.
Best songs are "Have No Opinion?", "I Haven't Been Myself" and "Time To Leave".

Hindsight | Posted January-21-2010
At first this album was a disappointment, but it really has grown on me. I still think that this album is the worst by John Reuben (exept for the remix album), but even Johns worst is worthy of 4 stars.
My favorite songs are "Defensive Offender", "Hindsight" and "I Pictured It".
This album also features "Doin'" which has the best music video ever created.

Remix | Posted January-08-2010
The sad part is that John had nothing to do with these remixes. It was all done by some other Gotee artists. Of course it wasn't all bad, the Elected Official remixes are actually pretty good, specially "Hindsight". But most of the songs are not that noteworthy.
I would only recommend this album to serious fans who, on the basis of principle, want to own all of his albums.

Surprise | Posted August-30-2008
Sarah Kelly obviously surprised me with her new album. She has token worship music, blended it with some pop and yet keeping it simple. The album is really emotional and it's hard not to get into it even if you usually don't like to listen to worship music.
My favorite song is "Not Quite Home", but all the songs are good, there just isn't a song on the album you would want to skip.

Pretty good! | Posted August-30-2008
The album was surprisingly way better than the last one, but lacked the freshness of the first 2 albums. Their self titled debut still remains their best effort to date, but the new album will surely please every fan. As I have seen it pleasing me :D

Classic | Posted August-21-2008
This album has surely been written into christian rock history. Aggressive rapcore similar to Linkin Park is just something that will get you hooked. I mean you just can't overlook "Hear My Cry" and "Horizon" Yet I've found that people who don't listen to much rock seem to enjoy the little bit slower "Higher Ground". Overall this album is a must have for a christian rock fan!

One of the best! | Posted August-17-2008
This album is surely one of the best hip-hop albums ever released! Actually only Word of Mouth by John himself can compete with this album. The music is great and message relevant. The only song I don't like on it is Jezebel. But other than that it's all either great or awesome!
Definitely worth your money!
