In order to give a better view of my perspective, let me begin by saying I have loved Article One for a while now. I actually found them while searching up-and-coming artists and immediately fell in love with their catchy tunes and lyrics...as well as Matthew Piche's amazing violin skills. I eagerly awaited the release of their newest CD, "Colors and Sounds" and was not dissappointed.
If you have ever heard their earlier songs, you would definately be able to hear an increase in the quality and maturity of their sound in their newest release. The thing that really hooks me in is their lyrics. At a recent concert I attended, Nathan Piche (lead singer) commented that a lot of their songs come from personal experiences and experiences of those close to them. They have an excellent way of portraying some of the common confusions and struggles that we as Christians meet every day. "If The World Gives Up," "Never Too Late To Call," and "Love You Tommorow" are just a few that have that underlying theme of overcoming everyday struggles and doubts. Overall, this CD is just a joy to listen too. Everytime I hear the songs, I get something new or recieve encouragement in an area of my life that I'm struggling with. My favorite song? Definately "Taken By The Storm." Give them a listen! Support them if they're nearby. Their concert experience rivals that of many current widely-known artists. You won't be disappointed!

When I had the opprotunity to hear the up and coming Remedy Drive for the first time, I'll have to admit, I was more excited about the band immediately following. However, I was pleasently suprised when this insane and energetic group of brothers took the stage. From that moment about a year ago, I have been hooked. Now, only a year later, they have released their first official album across the US.
"Daylight Is Coming" is solid gold from beginning to end. You can definately feel the sense of maturity and the intensifying of their sound from their first album, "Rip Open The Skys." I think the most entertaining thing about this group in particular is their versatility. This CD has it all, from head-banging anthems like "Something Made To Last" to inspirational lift-up-the-spirit songs like "Daylight Is Coming"and my personal favorite, "Hope." Each and every song has genuine lyrics that portray hope and give encouragement to the listener. The best thing about this album and Remedy Drive's music/shows in general? They don't sound or perform like anyone else. They are wholely their own, which makes them a pure joy to watch and listen to. If you get the chance, go see them for yourselves. You won't be left disappointed, I promise you.
