You've gotta give it a listen | Posted March-19-2013
A lyrically sound new band with a very diverse album. The lead singer JJ Weeks has a Bart Millard/Russ Lee quality to him, but undeniabley has his own sound. That says something given how successful those guys have been in Christian music. The group definitely reminds me of Mercy Me but edgier with the songs being very enriching and passionate for the Love of Christ. The songs "What Kind of Love" and "Let Them See You" are amazing songs, best on the album. If you like up-tempo, rock and roll with a soulful twist then I recommend you give this album a listen. I will definitely be putting it on my wishlist.

NOT A WINNER!!!!! | Posted July-04-2011
This debut album by Shonlock, a front man for Toby-Mac has a few upsides but on the whole this album misses on several levels. He has a few songs which are very catchy tunes. The first track on the album " Something in Your Eyes" is fantasic with a great blend of vocals and music. The lyrics to this song are very deep and moving. The biggest disappointment I would have to say is in the middle songs of the album tracks 6 - 9 where there is too much going on in each song that it takes away from Shonlock's singing/rapping nature. The final track " Never Odd or Even" returns to the fantasic blend again of music and song. I would recommend this album to the younger generation (teenagers). Shonlock reminds me of Flow-Rider (mainstream artist). Those in the 30 something crowd who enjoy music such as Toby-Mac etc will find that this album is NOT A WINNER.

A Newly B429 Fan | Posted May-12-2011
I have heard very little of this band's music with the exception of the hit tracks that have received radio airtime over the years. I have now been listening to this new album and it is a definite solid album. The blend of rock anthems and melodic ballads creates a perfect blend of music that anyone can enjoy. The song, "Where I Belong" is grippingly powerful and is enough to make me want to run out and purchase this album. It is a gooder and I recommend it to anyone who enjoys pop worship.

Top Notch Album | Posted October-31-2010
Having only listened to this album during this week's preview "God Be Praised" is undoubtedly one of the best worship albums I have ever heard. There are so many powerful songs about the glory and majesty of God. This ablum has a very nice blend of up tempo and reverant songs. I cannot wait for this album to be released. I will be purchasing it and add it to my already large worship CD collection.
