The deluxe edition is well worth money. The bonus tracks Overtake You, Forever, and Nothing and Everything are all amazing.
Overtake you is heavy and fast. "You'll come to get me but you'll end up dead". Those are powerful lyrics.
Forever is about our relationship with God. Things do not always go as we want them to and sometimes when that happens we become sad or even angry at the world, God, etc. But God chases us down even when we don't want to be found.
Nothing and everything is a powerful and beautiful piano driven version of fight inside.

This album is the definition of epicness.
I've listened to this so many times. It is LEGIT. I'm at a loss for words. The album overall isn't as heavy as End of Silence or I&I but they recorded these songs so well. The majority of the songs are ballads but they are so mezmerizingly good. But other songs on this album are heavy. The heaviest they have ever done. The vocals are spectacular. Production is top notch. Everything from first chord struck to the awesome intos and to the last key played. I am definitely going to preorder this album.
Feed The Machine: 5/5 This song is great. It's heavy and it has a great message.
Faceless: 5/5 This is one of those songs that is saturated with Red's intensity.
Lie To Me(Denial): 5/5 Another great track. One of my personal favorites. Ever since i heard a small clip of this I was hooked. Amazing song.
Let It Burn: 5/5 Another awesome song. Just awesome.
Buried Beneath: 5/5 Awesome into! Another one of those haunting tracks.
Not Alone: 5/5 A beautiful ballad with a good message.
Watch You Crawl: 5/5 Great son. Sounds much like Breaking Benjamin both musically and lyrically.
The Outside: 4/5 this song is heavy and I like that but the chorus is a bit lacking. Good song overall.
Who We Are: 5/5 Another one of those songs that had me hooked since I heard a clip. Awesome anthem.
Best Is Yet To Come: 5/5 Absolutely beautiful song with amazing lyrics.
Hymn For The Missing: 5/5 A very beautifully haunting song.

We Need Each Other is a great album. It is a great follow up to The Face of Love.
5=Love it. 4=Like it. 3=It's Alright. 2= Don't really like it. 1= Don't like it at all.
Turn on the Lights- Great song, a fantastic opener, a great rocker that shows that the whole album is great. Great song witha great message. 5/5
We Need Each Other- Fantastic song. This song is about understanding that God created us to love. To love Him, to love ourselves, and to love each other.

Black Coal- Another good song. I like this song because of its message. Its about God's perfection washing away our impurities with his grace and making us shine like jewels. 5/5
Whatever You're Doing(Something Heavenly)- My personal favorite on this album. I love this song because of the hope one can find in it. This song is about understanding that even though things may seem chaotic, God is there working in the background. Peace can be found in God even through chaos. 5/5
Sing- Yet again, another great song, very peaceful, a soft message calling the church to worship God. 5/5
Leap of Faith- Great song about faith. About taking a leap of faith and believing that god is in control at all times. 5/5
Lay Down My Guns- Another highlight in this album. This song is in a soldiers perspective. A soldier wanting to lay down his guns and come back home because its hard to be faithful in such a chaotic area.

Eternal- Another one of my favorites. This song is about God's love, which endures forever. Nothing can separate us from the love of God.
Half Our Lives- Personally, i really don't like this song. It just doesn't satisfy like the rest of the album. 2/5
Legacy: Another good song that asks how we will be remember when we are gone, if we have made an impact on people. 5/5
Overall this is a great album. I am more into heavier rock but i truly enjoyed this album and i highly recommend it to anyone who loves music.

Pillar really outdid themselves this time.This was such a well done album. It is amazing.
Fire On The Inside- An absolute adrenaline rush.
Whatever It Takes- An amazing and powerful song about the pursuit of God.
Secrets And Regrets- This is the heart of the album. With a powerful voice it shouts "Your secrets and regrets are keeping you from getting very far".
Better Off Now- Is a song about how our lives have changed because of Christ.
Not Without A Fight- is a battle cry, shouting to the devil that it takes more than what he has to break us and that we wont go down without a fight.
Will You Be There- A quiet prayer asking if God will always be there for us.
Shine- A powerful song asking Heaven to let it's light shine down.
Call To Action- A very militant song.
Lose it All- Telling a friend that a loss is never really a loss in Christ and that life goes on.
You Are Not The End- A song declaring to the devil that he will not m=be the death of us no matter how much he tries.
This is a Great album, and i recommend it to anyone who likes rock.You will not be disappointed .

i like all of these songs. MOre is a great song. well all of them are great but that one's my favorite. Matthew West is one of my favorite artists. I think that more people should try him out more. Amazing songs, Amazing singer!!!

after 3 years of waiting i am finally going to get my hands on this album.im excited, i have heard some of the songs on this album and i like what i heard, it sounds awesome, it takes the best parts of Comatose but makes it so much better. I became a big fan of Matthew West the first time I heard his song "More" on the radio, and an even bigger fan when I saw him in concert that year. I am now a member of his street team, and was absolutely ecstatic when I heard he had a new album coming out. History is an awesome CD, and not only is the music cool but the lyrics also challenge you and where you stand with God. Definitely an album that all should add to their collection.

this is a great album, i like matthew west's style. there are a lot of great songs such as the motions and something to say. the motions is a very touching song, it is very inspirational song that challenges us to be better Christians and to serve God whole heartedley. Something to say is a fun song, my cousins sing along with it everytime they hear even a little piece of it.

This is an amazing album. Its a greatest hits album and its live! containing major songs from Collide and COMATOSE. i like these versions better because john cooper uses rougher vocals. plus CCA includes a dvd with the live recording, music videos and other cool stuff. AND you can also dowload 6 extra songs for free with this.

this is generally a good album. I think that the band sinks in their message deep. The message is inner conflict and they do a great job. This album is a big step from their previous album, end of silence, using powerful lyrics, tearing riffs, and screaming vocals, no pun intended. It would have been better if there were more songs.
