The Holiday Trio EP includes two of the songs off of their "Hearts of the Innocent" album, as well as their version of "It Came Upon A Midnight Clear". Kutless adds their own style to it, and makes it a refreshing change of tune while retaining the traditional Christmas style. If you're looking to get a stocking stuffer for someone who hasn't heard of Kutless, this album is a good introduction to the band.

X Christmas is a relatively new Christmas CD that is known for its variety in song selection and sound. It is known for the variety of artists that are on the CD, ranging from Kutless, Thousand Foot Krutch, FM Static, Sanctus Real, KJ-52, and more. Several of the songs are new, refreshing twists on older, more familiar songs, while several of them are original songs created by the artists themselves. If you want a new twist on Christmas, this is the CD for you!
This is a really good EP | Posted October-06-2009
I like the different versions of Breathe Into Me off of this recording. The Radio Edit is a slightly shorter version of the song, but the Remix Acoustica (Acoustic Version) puts an amazing new twist on the song, and even includes a little extra "verse" after the bridge. The music video is also well worth watching!
This album rocks! | Posted October-06-2009
This album definitely does not fail to impress after several years since releasing their album Comatose. The album continues in the hard rock style of Skillet, with drums that pierce and guitars and lyrics that get the point across. Each song has its own definite meaning. I think my favorite two songs off the album are "Monster" and "Forgiven". "Monster" has a sort of new sound, but still some of the old sound of Skillet. I personally relate to it, feeling like a monster when I want to do good, what God wants, but find the monster inside me saying, "NO!" All this while rocking out! Yea! "Forgiven" is another good song because it tells of God's love, and how He constantly forgives us, no matter what we've done, or who we are.
"Don't Wake Me" and "Lucy" are good songs, as they talk about the pain associated with losing somebody in a relationship, or because of death. However, it seemed like the lyrics showed the singer not willing to let go of the situation and give it to God; instead they dwelled on it. That is my only complaint about this album. "Awake" is something that all Skillet fans will enjoy!
