I had the pleasure of seeing Day of Fire live in concert a week ago at the Blink Festival near Canton Ohio. They were one of my most listened to bands over the past couple years or so but it stepped up a notch after the show. Amazing sound and strong lyrics. Hole In My Hand and Wake Me are my favorite songs on the album but theres not one that i'd skip over and that goes to show the quality of Cut & Move!!

WHY???
I'm not sure here... While i'm a big music fan and watched American Idol (up until Daughtry was voted out a couple seasons ago) i have a hard time having a mainstream type artist being played on Christian radio and preforming at "Christian Music Festivals"! A "positive message" doesn't make it Christian or of God. In My opinion until he announces his life changed through Christ and admits him as his savior Chris is just another secular artist who's found his way onto Christian radio like one time Shock Rock singer Alice Cooper! Cooper was on local Christian Radio years ago with an album believed to announce his changed lifestyle and how he found God. Where has he been? Still hitting the MTV tours or shows and out of the Christian spotlight thats where....

The sad thing here is that i'm sure there are many others just like this and maybe even some that i listen too.

** Edited for the one that responded:

I don't buy it and if he is a Christian then We all need to pray for him and his level of faith or belief. As a Christian i personally do not listen to mainstream secular music. Well i attended the Blink Festival in the Canton Ohio area just over a week ago. Some great bands were there like TFK, Day of Fire, Anberlin, 12 Stones, Pillar and more BUT Daughtery was unimpressive. He was the ONLY one that played secular music while they were setting up his stage (Def Leopard, YES you saw that right) I wasn't interested at that point so went up to get a CD autographed but everyone in the tent heard him mention that he was going to play some Alice and Chains. The reaction was that of a shock and disbelief. As a Christian i don't care to see him in concert with a bunch of Christian bands but i guess for those who came to see HIM and came early enough got to get more than what they expected TFK and the other groups..

strong sound good lyrics | Posted August-02-2007
I'm not normally into girl bands or female vocalists for that matter (no offense ladies as i just like hard rock with the male vocals) but Barlow Girl is one of a few exceptions. With my 7 year old daughter a fan its hard not to listen and the more you hear them the more you take to their music. Amazingly i think i was more anxious than my 7 year old for their latest release!!

wow | Posted August-02-2007
WOW, i'm surprised i'm in the minority here as this album is what turned me on to Kutless when they came out "Your Touch" and "Run" are songs i could listen to daily at work. Some bands i feel you have to see in person to get a real feel for and these guys might be one of them as it was their concert that brought me to purchase this CD and remain a Kutless fan.

Great Debut | Posted August-02-2007
First and foremost you have to love seeing a musician (Josh Brown) from the secular industry finding Christ and coming over to produce Christian music and doing it so well. Songs Cornerstone and Detainer are top notch and it doesn't stop there. When i bought this CD i couldn't take it out of my stereo and still even after their second release i still enjoy listening more than one would think. Outside of a couple songs on the new album I'd have to say this debut is rated higher than "Cut and Move".

A must purchase but just barely falls short of elite status in my book!!

There simply can not be a better rock praise and worship CD available!! | Posted August-02-2007
This is the best worship album I've ever come across! While maintaining the original hymn theme or songs, Kutless added a rock style that speaks to even the contemporary music fans. It comes highly recommended and will remain my favorite praise album produced!

Project86? | Posted July-29-2007
Is this the same Project86?
While I've liked SOME Project86 songs i have never been able to sit and listen to the full CD until this latest release. Of course "Evil" is the highlight song for me but this CD truly indeed has some sweet sounds. Highly recommended for all kinds of music fans!

Now that's some debut album! Let's see what they bring to the table with their second release! | Posted July-29-2007
WOW, this group has quickly become a mainstay in my cd player. Great sounds and lyrics from this North Carolina based band. They have no problem mentioning God's change in their lives through their music or by interview and God has truly brought them threw a great deal. Easily a 5 star rating and highly recommended.

Three songs to pay close attention to are:
1) Walking Dead
2) Vanity
3) No Longer

With the last having great meaning for this follower of Christ who no longer has to look back on my failures in life!

Matthew 19:26 - "But Jesus beheld [them], and said unto them, With men this is impossible; but with God all things are possible."

What's changed? | Posted August-04-2007
I'm one of few that's been blessed to have the chance to preview this entire album before it's release on the 17th of August. I've been a HUGE 12 Stones fan since their debut album and listen to it daily at work. While i'll likely still listen to the new album entitled "Anthem For The Underdog" it is not what I've come to know as 12 Stones. I don't know everyone, check this CD out for yourself and if you are able to preview it before making the purchase please do! The lyrics have me baffled a little as one song sounds so negative and another seems to do a complete 180. I'm probably just not getting the message that they intended for the listener.

"It Was You" and "This Dark Day" seems much better and this album has grown on me since I first started listening to it. They have also turned it down a notch from their first album and is not nearly as heavy. I'll be curiously awaiting other reviews on this to see what others think of the new 12 Stones. They remain my favorite band and I'm hoping to be able to see them in concert for the first time in August as they've finally made a trip t my home State.
