Great Debut | Posted November-07-2011
Although this is William Matthew's debut album, it is not the first I have heard of him. As a regular on iBethel.tv (Bethel Church's service streaming) and a worship leader on their most recent album "Be Lifted High" he has already gained numerous fans through his great worship leading. As one of those fans I was looking forward to this album and it hasn't disapointed.
The album is a vast array of genres and does not fit into the normal cookie-cutter worship albums that are prevalent these days. Although I am not a fan of the country/bluegrass/blues aspects of the album, I understand that many people, especially in America, will enjoy these parts of the album and the rest of the album is brilliant.
My favourites have to be This One Thing and I Just Want You More because they are fabulous songs of worship that I just get lost in worship.
Hopefully this is the start of a great worship leader, who is prepared to be different and passionate about worshipping God.

Another incredible album from Planetshakers | Posted July-11-2011
I am a huge Planetshakers fan who has almost all their many albums and has attended their conference numerous times. Also being a patriotic Aussie I love it when the rest of the world finds out about the amazing music we have in Australia and New Zealand.
Anyway the disclaimer aside, this album is very good, it came out in Australia in April and it has been constantly played on my MP3 player from the minute I brought it. The praise songs are inflectious (you can't help but sing and dance to them) and the worship songs really take you into the presence of God.
I really like the songs Bring It On and We Cry Out as well as one of the highlights from their last album "Nothing Is Impossible" with the added vocal support of Israel Houghton.
If you can get the physical album I would highly recommend it as you get a supporting DVD with live versions of some of the songs, short preaching segments from the conference (Russel and Sam Evans, Rich Wilkerson Jr, TJ Jakes, John Bevere and Reggie Dabbs) as well as conference opening videos and other great songs.
In particular the opening song of the DVD is very touching with a young girl leading "Nothing But The Blood" before being supported by the Planetshakers band and dancers.
Overall this is a very good album and well worth the $21 Aussie dollars I paid for it.

Joyful Album | Posted May-02-2011
I have heard a few of Martha's albums, so I knew what to expect when I listened to her new album. I think she is getting better with every album she creates. It is a very joyful album, you just can't help moving with the music and singing along at the top of your voice.
It is a bit repeative at times but they are church songs, so they shouldn't be too complex. I would certainly consider buying this album because it is quite a good album and it has a variety of songs on it. I quite liked "Excellent" and "Your Love Oh God".

Very Good album | Posted March-21-2011
I am not a huge gospel fan but I do like Kirk Franklin's music and this album is very good.
It is similar to his previous albums but it sounds so fresh and insightful, which makes listening to it very enjoyable.

Interesting album but hated the "screaming" | Posted February-20-2011
I hadn't heard "Worth Dying For" before, so it was a great experience to sample their new album "Love Riot". The start of the album took me by surprise but I loved it, unfortunately the next few tracks I didn't enjoy as much due to the "screaming" of lyrics (it sounded horrible). Also the hard rock driven songs were good for the first few but it went on too long.
However I really enjoyed the second half of the album and I will likely listen to them in the future.

Showing steady improvement | Posted January-31-2011
I was a huge fan of the original Parachute Band and I was a little disappointed with the early efforts from the "next gen" Parachute Band but I think Love Without Measure is starting to head in the right direction.
It has a mixture of some good rock songs and more meaningful slower songs. It sounds quite good, if they can keep improving then they can really do New Zealand proud.
