Amazing! | Posted February-03-2011
One of my favorite albums of all time. These songs are fun to listen to and sing along to but they are also very deep. They sing about things that everyone can relate to: going through the hard things in life, trusting God, and living for every moment. My favorite songs are Fight Another Day, Don't Wait, Won't Let Me Go, and My Story but the other songs are just as great. Jenny's vocals are heartfelt and the lyrics are very honest. I love Addison Road for being so open about what they are going through. No one can be perfect and we all have doubts but "Stories" reminds me that through all of life's ups and downs we have hope. Addison Road does a remarkable job of creating an album that is a great listen and provides uplifting song lyrics. I definitely recommend this cd!

Poema "Once A Year" | Posted January-23-2011
Like with their last album (Sing It Now) I thought Poema would mention God on their CD but even though they didn't directly, this is a sweet Christmas album that is perfect for singing along to or playing as background music on a snowy winter day. The songs are slow and calming and carry the general theme of enjoying the holidays with loved ones. The first track is a cover of "Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas" and puts a cute twist on the classic. The second song is an original called "Wool Coats". The song is about spending Christmas with loved ones and slowing down to remember that this love is important. The 3rd song is "Santa Will Find You" and features Aaron Marsh. Its message is even if you feel alone on Christmas Santa still sees you. The fourth song is also an original and personally my favorite. "So Much More" sings about the fact that the real reason of Christmas is not in the presents and stuff but the love that was received on Christmas Day. To me this means the birth of Jesus and the love that He brought. "So I understand the gift that you gave to me
It’s the love that was received so I could see
That it’s so much more..." The final track is a Poema twist on "Little Drummer Boy". It is a sweet song and it seems like a song that would have special meaning for Poema. They are bringing the only thing they have to offer to Jesus: their talents.
Overall, I enjoyed this album and it definitely put me in the Christmas spirit. Elle and Shealeen's talent never ceases to amaze me. I only wish they had mentioned the real reason we celebrate Christmas: Jesus.

Poema "Sing It Now" | Posted January-23-2011
I really enjoyed this album but wasn't sure what to think of it first. I saw them on hearitfirst.com so I expected more Christian themes to show up on the album. God is only mentioned once in Echo Off the Sky "I find the world in His fingers
He won't let me fall, won't let me fall
Yeah, He is here, He is speaking
You're not at fault, 'cause He paid it all". But after listening to the songs a couple times, I was in love.
The songs are all very sweet and show love that many teenagers can relate to. The love the girls portray is innocent and sweet, something that is usually not shown in popular culture. The girls' beautiful voices, heartfelt lyrics, and musical talent make this an enjoyable album. As a teenager, I can relate to these songs and the girls are great role models. I hope to see a full album from Poema soon with more songs that talk about their faith and testimonies.
My favorite song is Echo Off the Sky.
