Will Retherford's whimsy, folk approach to music may turn some people off, as it did to me the first few times I heard his music. But as time went on, I began to enjoy his music more. Will has a good voice, and his lyrics are simple but deep. The music is very creative. This EP is enjoyable from end to end. Definitely worth getting.

The album opens with "Rest," which sets the rest of the album mood. It was a good opener. The rest of the songs sound pretty much the same until you get to the half-place song, "Overflow," which is more upbeat than the first half put together. Then the other songs sound the same again until the album ends with "You Conquer," which did not really conclude the album.
In conclusion, the album was, musically, not very creative. The lyrics were very scripture based, and that was great. Her vocals were good, but it got draggy after some time
This album is perfect for quiet time because it doesn't hold on to your attention. But if you are the dance/pop fan hoping for music to rock to, this isn't the album.
This album was filled with slow songs from beginning to end, and that was not what I expected from Beckah Shae. I feel that "Rest" is not the most memorable of her musical offereings.

Mark Schultz did a good job with this album. From the upbeat, anthemic "All Things Possible" to the sweet and short "I Will Love You Still," Mark Schultz's ballads and uptempo are pretty good. The only thing is that he doesn't go anywhere new, musically, but he still puts out a solid record.

This was a rather solid record, it was enjoyable, but there wasn't much variety in the musical style. It held on to my attention the entire 30+ minutes (that's a good sign). This album is worth checking out.

Reach Record's new artist, KB introduces himself in his mixtape, Who Is KB?
Who Is KB? opens with Who Is KB?, then quickly goes to the Don't Waste Your Life Remix which should have lasted longer (yes, it was that good). Head to the Heavens finally gives us a real taste of KB's real sound. Lighter Fluid has a really good beat. Go is a duet with Tedashii, showcases KB's ability to spit really fast. Enough is a smooth R&B track, which I really like. I Can't Play the Background is a funny parody of Lecrae's Background (feat. Andy Mineo) which I find less meaningful than the original song by Lecrae. Lion King is a solid track that features KB's sister, Suzy Rock. Brand New is an awesome outro to the mixtape.
In conclusion, this mixtape tells us who KB is and is a worthy introduction to him. It's worth getting... because he has a lot of potential. It's free on NoiseTrade here: http://noisetrade.com/kb

So maybe you've read snippets and excerpts of the book and I'm pretty sure you found them interesting. That's how I got interested in this book, so I bought it. Just on the first page, I thought: this book really IS the "real deal!"
So I was stuck to this book, turning pages and pages and pages. It was action-packed, romantic, poetic, poignant, and emotional (not extremely emotional, though). This is a very thought-provoking book that will make you think a whole lot about our humanity.
In total, the entire book was amazingly well-done. It was well conceived and well executed. But before you buy this book, I'll have to add that if this book was rated like a movie in terms of age-appropriate content it'd probably be an R. The reason is because it pretty violent, and gets a little sensual at some parts. The violence is not glorified, though. I mean that the violence will make you disgusted with the evil characters.
This is, to me, already one of the best reads of 2012. Hats off to Ted Dekker and Tosca Lee for a job well done!
Clear The Stage For Jimmy Needham | Posted March-25-2012
The album opens with the insanely infectious I Will Find You where LeCrae has a short rap part, but the combination is so good, that this song just rocks! If I Ever Needed Grace is a really emotional song about being a husband and a father. Daddy's Baby Girl is a really sweet and cute song that is so fun to listen to. Rock Bottom is pretty haunting and it makes a great connector to the worshipful Stay. In the Middle is a very reassuring song about hot God is with us. Arrows is another fun, catchy song. My Victory is so true about what God is, it's pretty anthemic. The Only One, is a bluesy, jazzy song, that is good for the blue times. Clear the Stage had an amazing message, and it flowed nicely from The Only One.
In all, Jimmy Needham's newest is completely worth listening and/or buying. His best CD so far.
The Same Paul Baloche Sound | Posted March-16-2012
"The Same Love starts off with the title track, which I really, really like. It's quite a fun foot-tapping song and would be a great addition for worship services. We Are Saved continues the fast praise pace. I couldn't hear the Ben Fielding vocals though. King of Heaven slows down the tempo nicely and is very well blended with the All Sons & Daughters vocals. All Because of The Cross is a remake of classic hymn "Nothing but the Blood." But Paul Baloche's added chorus is nothing to shout about. Your Blood Ran Down is a really simple, short song, but can sound kinda monotonous. My Hope is an awesome version of "My Hope Is Built On Nothing Less." Kathryn Scott's vocals was great with Paul Baloche's. Oh Our Lord which also featured All Sons & Daughters, was great! All Sons & Daughters also put this song on their new album "Season One." Christ the Lord was kinda cliche, not very lyrically creative. Reign In Me was pretty much the same as Christ the Lord and Jason Ingram's vocals didn't do much to help the song. Just Say was beautiful and the Angela Krusi & Brothers McClurg vocals made the song really good. Loved By You was also another nice song, it was one of the most worshipful songs on the album. Look Upon the Lord was beautiful, and Kari Jobe helped take the song from beatiful to AMAZING! Shout For Joy was an okay cover of the Lincoln Brewster song. It wasn't amazing, but it was not too bad.
Overall, Paul Baloche's latest record was thoroughly worshipful, beautiful in some parts, draggy in others. This album isn't for casual listening, but it's a great soundtrack to your quiet time.
The Sound of Jeremy Horn | Posted March-10-2012 Sound of The Broken opens the album well. This upbeat track is not very lyrically creative, though. Now Is The Time slow thgings down a little, but fares better than the previous song. Only God Who Saves was really good. It was lyrically creative when compared to some other artists. Sons And Daughters was the song I enjoyed better than the other first few songs. Its lyrics were really strong. Surrender is slightly slower. It was very nice because it was so true. But, it ended a little too abruptly. Emptied was a very worshipful song, but Jeremy Horn sounded a little pitchy at some parts. Where You Are was another worship song which excellently continued the worshipful mood that Surrender started. Faithful was yet another song about God's faithfulness, but Jeremy Horn pulled it off quite well. Father of Lights was a fun song that was very catchy. This Reflection was a pretty choppy transition from Father of Lights but ended the album nicely.
So in all, lyrically, this was an awesome album for the worship genre. But, musically, the album wasn't that great. But still, Jeremy Horn has a promising carrer ahead, so look out for him. This album is worth a listen, or a few listens.
