I don't really consider myself an expert in musical style so I could very easily be wrong but it seemed like a bluegrass style of gospel. It was definately a strong style that a person would either love or hate. Personally I would never listen to it again. But the production was very good, the vocals were creative and the instrumentation was snappy. If you like traditional gospel music, old time country music and of course the lyrics of these hymns then I think you would really like the freshness of this rendition.
