This is a great album, and is worth checking out! Currently #12 on ITunes, but I honestly think it would be higher if it weren't for Toby, Tenth Avenue North, and Chris August releasing albums over the last two weeks. They have great lyrics in their music, and there's some variety in the album. You have soft, pretty songs such as Banner of Love, their biggest hit so far, and then you have songs such as Never Give Up that have great beats and feel. Personally the song I listen to the most from this album is "This Ends Tonight". I don't think it'll ever get on radio, but I like it. Very catchy!!! Overall this is a great album, and worth the money as it is only $7.99 on ITunes (make sure to check AmazonMP3 store though; could be cheaper ove there, but not for sure).
What Happened to Owl City | Posted August-30-2012
I think we all saw this coming after the Shooting Stars EP was released and the Good Times single came out. All Things Bright and Beautiful was such a great album. It was an example of what Owl City was so great at; combining fun electro beats with randomish yet poetic lyrics. I have to say that this album was very disappointing for me personally. The music is just so related to the mainstream pop, and people have said that he was "exploring and expanding" his music. I disagree COMPLETELY! I believed he was pioneering something, something where you didn't have shallow lyrics and beats that sound exactly the same over and over and over.... I hope Adam realizes his mistakes and comes out with a record similar to Ocean Eyes and All Things Bright and Beautiful. In the end, not bad record, but it's NOT Owl City.
Generous Mr. Lovewell Review | Posted February-01-2012 Generous Mr. Lovewell is a great album. I love the variety of songs, from catchy jingles such as the title track, "More", and "Back To You", to great worship music such as "All of Creation" and "Only You Remain". "Beautiful" was up in the Christian charts for quite sometime, and songs such as "Crazy Enough", "This Life", "Won't You Be My Love", and "Free" really makes this album complete. The only surprise I had was that "Only You Remain" did not get radio recognition like "All of Creation", "Beautiful", and "Move". I think that it has a similar sound to other MercyMe hits such as "You Reign" and "God in Us" (not beat, but feel). Overall I recommend this album to any Christian music lover.
