Meridional could be seen as a return to form for Norma Jean by longtime fans of the band and I can see why. It does reflect a hint of nostalgia yet it still maintains the heavy sound from their last album, The Anit Mother. The lyrics are supurb and screamed in excellent form by Corey Putman. Every track manages to hook you in with its amazing musical tenacity. This is Norma Jean's best album yet and is a definite must buy for any metalcore fan.
