Josh Wilson is a great musician that plays multiple instruments. His albums have been a great mix of instruments and great vocals. Josh doesn't disappoint with his first full length Christmas album.
He starts out with a instrumental of the song "First Noel." I love hearing him play the acoustic guitar with no vocals on a song. His last album had instrumentals that were good.
"Jesus Is Alive" came out last year and is a great song that is played on the radio. It is catchy and you will find yourself singing it.
Next song "Go Tell It On the Mountain" is a fun arrangement of the classic Christmas song. It also has great vocals by Mandisa on it which makes it even better.
"Do You Hear What I Hear?" is done good and I love hearing him sing it.
"Christmas Changes Everything" and "Almost Christmas" are original songs that are fun and have great Christmas lyrics. It is always good to hear fresh new Christmas songs each year.
"O Come, O Come Emmanuel" is done well as a classic Christmas worship song. His vocal is good to hear on this song too.
"Carol Of the Bells" is a instrumental song that again he does the music well.
"Angels We Have Heard On High" is a great classic worship song that the music is arranged well and his vocal shines.
The last song "Once a Year" is a original song that Andrew Peterson sings on too. It asks wouldn't it be somehting/ If we all learned to love like It's Christmas/ More than once a year. I think about that often. We should love no matter what time of the year it is.
What I liked about this Christmas album is it has both good arrangements of classic Christmas songs and great lyrics on original Christmas songs. It also has two good instrumental Christmas songs. Pick this one up if you haven't yet. It's a good one. View All Music And Book Reviews By Frenzy20 | View Frenzy20's Profile
