Sixteen Cities is proud to present their newest worship album The Depth of Your Love a collection of 11 original and well-known worship songs. The album showcases a mix of new original songs such as “Greater Is He,” “The Depth of Your Love,” “Once For All,” “He is the Lord” and “Psalm 148 (Highly Exalted),” as well as classics such as “Come Thou Fount,” “Jesus Paid It All,” “Oceans (Where Feet May Fail),” and “This Is Amazing Grace.”

From my first listen, I was totally worshipping along with the band during this album. The covers of “This is Amazing Grace” and “Oceans” are a great way to invite listeners into a place of worship. The congregational-friendly musical feel and song arrangements are among the many attractions to savor about this upbeat and sincere vertically focused worship album.

The standout song “Greater is He” causes me to sing along loudly with these 1 John 4:4 inspired lyrics: “Greater is He, Greater is He, The Lamb has overcome, Greater is He, Greater is He, The victory is won, It's finished, it's done, God's only Son has conquered the enemy, Greater is He, Greater is He that is in me.”

“The Depth of Your Love” has an emotive and poetic description of a beautiful picture of what Jesus did for us; “I’m caught in the depth of Your love, the depth of Your love. Jesus Your love is an ocean wide, I’m falling in, I’m falling into You, I’m falling into Your great love.” I’m really drawn to the band’s sincerity and biblically mature songwriting.

“Once for All” is one of my favorite songs of the year. I can't get enough of the Biblical truth of the song and I love when artists take Gods' Word from the Bible and turn it into a great and catchy song filled with truth. I sing this Romans 8 based song to God with all of my heart and know that “No height or depth, nor living or dead, Can keep us from His love, His love, No power or ruler, nor present or future, Can keep us from His love.”

“He is the Lord” keeps the worshipful flow going with the prayer: “Let every tongue confess that He is Lord, Jesus reigns for evermore…He is the Lord, He is the Lord.” Amen.

“Cornerstone” has been my personal worship anthem since it appeared on Hillsong’s album. I can't get enough of this song and the extremely catchy and worshipful lyrics, "Christ alone, Cornerstone / Weak made strong, in the Savior's love / Through the storm, He is Lord / Lord of All."

“Jesus Paid It All” and a beautiful medley of “Come Thou Fount” and “The Solid Rock” close out this rock solid worship album with more biblically-based hymns thanking Jesus for the depth of His love.

Closing Thoughts:
The album seeks to be an accurate representation of the worship ministry of Sixteen Cities and to be a resource for the church. The album includes standout recordings like the congregational friendly and accessible covers of “This is Amazing Grace” and “Cornerstone” and the biblical and catchy songs, "Greater is He,” “The Depth of Your Love” and “Once For All."

The Depth of Your Love is a completely worshipful album, loaded with biblical truth and sincere and soothing vocals from Josiah Warneking. The album is sonically and lyrically refreshing. God is exalted and the depth of His love is on display in every single song. A great outcome of memorizing the words of these songs is that you are ultimately singing God’s Word. This is truly soul nourishing worship.
