Hillsong UNITED's album Empires has the vibe of their (2013) release Zion. Starting with Here Now (Madness), it gives a whispery warm vibe. Then onto the upbeat song, Say The Word sung by Taya Smith who sung Oceans. Hearing her voice on these songs will give you the chills. After listening to Touch The Sky, the lyrics will stick in your head. "I Touch The Sky When My Knees Hit The Ground" Then finally, hearing the title track Empires sung by Jad Gillies. The vibe that the song gives is very fast paced. After listening to a mid-tempoed song, it then goes to the song Rule lead by Matt Crocker. The song is very upbeat and sounds like their album Zion (2013). Onto Captain, again, led by Taya as she sings "Jesus My Captain My Souls Trusted Lord All My Allegiance Is Rightfully Your". The song is a very slow ballad that makes you feel in God's Loving Presence. Going from the slow song Captain, it then leads to Closer Than You Know. Such simple lyrics will break you down. The song is Jesus speaking, and human answering. Overall, the album is worth listening to, each and every song! Close your eyes and let these beautiful songs guide you into God's Presence.
