“Please” is best described as an upbeat empowering anthem to lift to Jesus and against fear, worry and anxiety. The song is an excellent companion to sing over your life. The moving musical bed of “Living Proof” takes me on an emotional journey that causes me to excitedly sing along with the stirring lyrics every time I hear the song. “Things I Wish I Would’ve Said” is another standout ballad.
Sung in the Person of Jesus, in “Hold On” I’m deeply moved by the lyrics, “Just wait ‘til you see what’s at the end of the road, a new life is about to unfold/Hold on just a little bit longer, I know it’s gonna be okay, these days are gonna make you stronger, there’s purpose in the pain.”
My personal favorite song on the album is “Jesus Changed My Life.” The song has become my personal anthem, and I sing along at the top of my lungs the sincere and emotive lyrics of submission: “You wouldn't let go, You wouldn't leave me/Followed me through darkness and chased me down with mercy/You wouldn't look back, You see beyond my past/There is nothing I have ever done to make You love me less.”
