Very Good.

Leading up to the release of Rebecca's critically acclaimed album, God, ForeFront put out books, merchandise and this single. Over the last couple years it has become very rare, occasionally popping up on Amazon or eBay. And I am one of the very lucky people to have a physical copy of this single.
It starts out with the lead single and title track of the album, "God". A rock based track with long verses and an edgy chorus, "God" talks about the amazing love God has for us and how astounding it is that God actually sent his Son to die for us and why we should praise Him for that. The remix of "God" tones down the song with a very acoustic sound to it. Light drums and guitar carry a slower beat than the original.
The fun, worship song "Sweet Song of Salvation" has a very black gospel sound to it, complete with a full choir... a sound very different than the normal RSJ. The almost 7 minute "Side By Side Remix" gives a very different view on the song. While the original had a very tacky, clichéd sound to it, the remix flaunts a fun techno beat with scattered vocals.
The album closer is the strangest attribute to the album. "He Is Exalted" is completely sang by a Celtic artist Michelle Ray, while Rebecca speaks for a about 30 seconds in the beginning. A boring and weird song to include. Overall though, the single gives the listener a peek into the amazing music coming from Rebecca in her sophomore album.
