Coopertheband is new to the scene, but by no means behind in the game. The group is soon going to make its mark in the music realm with their debut album, Kings, which releases online everywhere on May 8, 2012.
Kings sounds like a mix of Coldplay, Arcade Fire, and Mumford & Sons. It's a unique but accessible genre of Christian Indie Folk Rock. The male/female duo vocals create a beautifully warm feel that mixes well with intense guitars, strings, and percussion.
The new the album Kings focuses on telling the life of David from the Bible in a very creative and modern way. The EP begins with the introduction of David and ends with him running from the king (1 Samuel 8 - 20). The album presents the hardships and adventures of David in such a way that allows listeners of all types to relate to the stories and themes throughout.
Front-man, Cooper Brown, is a Jackson, TN native who, in pursuit of his dream, sought out a degree in Songwriting from Belmont University. He released a solo album in October of 2010 entitled Venture.
