The Awakening is a Christian/Pop-Alternative worship band formed out of Colorado Springs, Colorado in June 2012. The band was originally the backup musicians for singer/songwriter Brandan Bustamante. In June 2012, Brandan approached his current musicians about becoming a band. After a short discussion and 4 or 5 days, The Awakening was born. Writing and recording their first full length record began in late 2012. "This Love I know" is slated for a February 2013 release. The heart of the band is to lead people into worship everywhere they go; to have fun and go deep. The Awakening is Brandan Bustamante, Chris Howe, Jeremy Musser and Nick Mayer.

So I haven't really listened to the album yet but I'm reviewing the artwork. It is epic!! Love the design and color scheme. Sometimes bands just stick a photo of themselves on the cover...so not creative. They seem to have taken the time to really put some thought in their art direction. Nice!
