The Awakening is a Christian/Pop-Alternative worship band formed out of Colorado Springs, Colorado in June 2012.  The band was originally the backup musicians for singer-songwriter Brandan Bustamante.  In June 2012, Brandan approached his current musicians about becoming a band.  After a short discussion and 4 or 5 days, The Awakening was born.  Writing and recording their first full length record began in late 2012. "This Love I know" is slated for a February 2013 release.  The heart of the band is to lead people into worship everywhere they go; to have fun and go deep.
