Newsboys became a band in 1985. In 1988 their first album came out, Read all about it. I have to say that most of the songs off the record are quite lame. "Listen for the Shout" is just kind of annoying, "It's Joy" is too repetitive, but "I Got Your Number" and "Read All About It" are very awesome. All newsboys collectors have to have this album, just for those songs. Every band has to start somewhere!

I got this CD in a "grab bag" when I belonged to a CD club. Until I got it, I had not heard og the Newsboys. There are a couple good songs on it, but in my opiion, "Your'e Still There" definately makes it worth while for me to have this CD in my collection.
A unique album in the Newsboys lineup that has a strong 80's feel/sound/vibe to it (even though it was released in the 90's). The overall arrangements, instrumentation and lyrics are a little on the simple side but this was common on CCM releases in the 90's. This album brings a lot of great memories with it's overall sound but not something I would listen to on a regular basis.
