Essentially a cooperative effort between Saint Lewis, Ascension Worship (co-writer, Jamie Miley & crew), Benji Cowart, & McKendree Augustas (of August York, & the Kari Jobe band), “You won’t Stop” grew out of short trip to share on co-writing at the National Praise & Worship Institute at Trevecca University in Nashville. When NWPI team-member & Dove-Award winning songwriter, Benji, contacted Shannon "Saint Lewis" about the visit, he suggested they write together to prepare for the class. Pitching several ideas, it was an 80s Synth-Pop inspired hook (long road trips, & 80s retro radio are great sources of inspiration) that ended up sticking.
