Jami Smith, recording artist and worship leader, travels the United States and the world leading others to the heart of God through worship. After over 12 years of leading worship, Jami still finds herself moved by the people she meets and the joy and reality of everyones need for Christ. "My idea of worship is not a concert, not entertainment, but an interaction between people and God. My hope is to encourage vulnerability before a loving God that we might plead for Him to interrupt our lives. Jami says.
Jami lives in Oklahoma where in 1999 she established Spring Rain Ministries, a non-profit ministry. She spends her time serving in her local community along with a full schedule of leading worship, speaking and writing.
Jami's most recently released cds include Bravo God and Hope of All the Earth, a Christmas CD. The songs Salt and Light and Wash Over Me from her 2002 album release Wash Over Me were chart toppers on Christian radio in the US. Jami has just released a 4 song disc called "Thank You" featuring "Faith in You", a song dedicated to the health care workers at St. Anthony Hospital in OKC and those everywhere who give so much in the health care profession, "You Dreamed for Me", written in honor of educators, and 2 pre-release songs from Jami's upcoming cd release "Faith in You", slated for '08 release. Plan now to join Jami for her hometown release concert of "Faith in You" on April 18th, 2008 at Crossings Community Church in Oklahoma City. On our visit to Glorieta, in New Mexico, we had the privilege of meeting Jami and we just loved and enjoyed her music. As a youth group we even had the chance to use some of her songs to worship the Lord with the church congregation.
