Tim Skipper, lead singer of House Of Heroes, and his wife, solo artist Stephanie Smith, married in 2012, but their separate music and touring projects kept them apart more often than they liked. Forming the husband/wife duo known as Copperlily was their answer to that.
They met in Phoenix, AZ in 2009 while they were both on Gotee Records during tobyMac’s Winter Wonder Slam Tour. Shortly after, House Of Heroes asked Stephanie to sing on their song "God Save The Foolish Kings" and the inevitable flirting began. Eventually, Tim asked Stephanie to be his girlfriend and two years after that, on November 3, 2012, they were married.
Their first EP, Love Is A Legend, was crowdfunded by an Indiegogo project, and was released in January 2014. This was quickly followed by a second EP, The Beautiful Unseen, in October 2014. The next year they released their first full-length album, self-titled Copperlily, along with a Christmas EP, appropriately titled A Very Copperlily Christmas EP.
