Remedy Drive has garnered 10 Top 20 singles and released 11 critically acclaimed recordings since David and his three brothers formed the band in 1998. What began as a jam-band influenced by the sounds of The Red Hot Chili Peppers and Beck evolved over time into a group that could appreciate a tight pop song and performed for fans all over the world. Music from Remedy Drive has been utilized on NBC, SpeedTV, VH1, and Hyundai. After parting ways from his brothers in 2010, David embarked on a sort of personal exodus, foregoing the melodic pop tunes that Remedy Drive had come to embrace for a grungier, more searching kind of rock and roll with Resuscitate, Remedy Drive's first full-length album release with an all-new lineup of band mates. This more authentic, emotional rock trend continued with the band's second release Commodity, Remedy Drive's first independent album in 11 years and David's return to collaborating with his brother, producer Philip Zach.
The North Star picks up where Commodity left off, continuing David's collaboration with Philip as producer and including new voices as well as old in the collective of musicians that has come to encompass Remedy Drive. Drummer Timmy Jones rejoins the band in studio and Corey Horn continues his seven-year partnership with David on tour as well as in the studio. The album also includes guest appearances by singer-songwriter Rachael Lampa, and rapper Propaganda.
The North Star is rock music in its purest distillation, a return to the unsterilized, authentic roots of Remedy Drive's past. This is not an album of gilded, naive faith. The David of The North Star has seen the darkness that is the inverse to the light he loves, and he knows now--intimately--that for some, hope is a luxury.
"I almost feel like a fraud to have hope," David says, considering his relationship to hope in the context of his nine trips abroad with The Exodus Road. "I don't want to give the impression that I've turned away from hope, but I wrote these songs of hope, freedom, and refuge against a backdrop of war, slavery, and exile. So the hope on The North Star is a bit more guarded and less simplistic than in the past. It's a more informed and more desperate form of hope."

Honestly. Just that simple. You guys are great.
Really excited about the new album, and really grateful to have listened to your previous ones, on repeat. One song that never gets old is "Heartbeat." It's a true blessing. Like everything else you do.
Keep it up. God bless, peace out :-D

I think Remedy Drive is the MOST underrated artist out there. "I need you. You keep, you keep, my heart, beatin' beatin'...... Cuz your love is better than life, better than liiiiife." Awesome.
