When I was born I met Mama’s faith | I didn’t know what it was | Just knew it was something great | She wrapped me up in her arms of grace | And as I looked into her angel face | She said “God is great and God is good | Live your life the way that He would | Give and share and laugh and sing | You’ll see the joy life can bring” | I’ve been blessed and I’ve been given | A treasure from the hands of Heaven | I thank God for my sweet Mama’s faith | There were days when life was hard | But Mama’s faith took us very far | If she was down you’d never know | She just let the love of Jesus show | She said “God is great and God is good | Live your life the way that He would | Give and share and laugh and sing | You’ll see the joy life can bring”
