For a long time we've dedicated this song to a friend of our named Jody. The last two years of his life he lived in our community, in our church in...here in Chicago, in Jesus People. He died of Aids. And I'll tell you there are a lot of things you can die from, and a lot of things you can die for - that's one of the most painful. But he died as a Christian. We do blues because, you know, out of the hundred and fifty psalms, fifty-seven of them are psalms of lament. You think God doesn't understand pain and struggle? Over and over again, that's the single largest category in the book of Psalms - psalms of lament, struggle, hurt, pain, blues. See we...we live in a fallen world, in a world that isn't fair, and a lot of things go down, and where do we turn? I think that half the battle for a lot of us is admitting the struggle, admitting the pain, being honest about our own sins. Thank God though that this world is not all, and this world isn't the end. This is a song called "Where Roses Grow."
