Idol King started way back in '85, when my best friend, Louis King died,
After his departure, morbid start,
But God allowed me to start a new group called the devastating two,
Back then, know as Chilly C., Doctor B and DL is true,

Now we're changing names from Doctor B to Lord Byron,
The severed tip, from Chilly C. to C.O.,
And, it's a fact, for DL to Cut No Slack,
Brings the devastated two bringing in dedication of Louis King,
The name we bring,
Be sure we sing the acronym of Idol King,
On and on, through the years, we stayed low-profile,
Paid our dues with a smile,
Got our start at K-D-A-Y's performing arts programme, with Rory Kauffman,
Local tours we did, and loved them all,
Our picture was posted in every mall,
We did radio spot jingles, without a single,
Keeping ballistics, while rocking the schools in the districts,
Amusement parks, and even funerals,
And the pay we got wasn't even that beautiful,
But you gotta go through things to get things,
No pain, no gaz-ain,
Since then, we've been striving and trying,
Fasting and praying, nearly every day and worked those jobs that we hated,
And waited 'til the right time, 'cause we knew we would make it,
But something was missing: our spirits wasn't right,
But then we got the Holy Ghost, and everything was alright,
Said goodbye, ain't no half stepping,
'Cause we anticipate all of our blessings,
So we serve notice to all the devil's men,
The Idol King can hang with the best of them,
