Writing To Remember (The North Horizon)
Written by Matt Brouwer
I know it ain’t Hollywood
It’s not set on some exotic sea
And nowhere near the highest mountain
But right now, there’s no place that I would rather be
Maybe someday I’ll get, maybe one day I’ll get back
Maybe someday I’ll get home
I’ll get back home
Though we’ve drifted far apart
The North Horizon has my heart
And a part of me is longing to
Someday get back home to you
You could say I’ve lost my way
You could say I’m drifting aimlessly
You could say I’m a lonely writer
Tangled up in love and destiny
Maybe someday I’ll get, maybe one day I’ll get back
Maybe someday I’ll get home
I’ll get back home
Though we’ve drifted far apart
The North Horizon has my heart
And a part of me is longing to
Someday get back home to you
I’ve been driving in West Texas
I got lost in Tennessee
Now I’m writing to remember
The way it used to be back home
They say that you can’t go back
I wouldn’t try even if I could
Cause somehow in the darkest hours
Something always came around for good
Though we’ve drifted far apart
The North Horizon has my heart
And a part of me is longing to
Someday get back home to you
Though we’ve drifted far apart
The North Horizon has my heart
And a part of me is longing to
Someday get back home to you
Someday I’ll get back to you
