And the heroes that were born
Created from the legends from the battles of the plain
The truth of our convections
Lies buried beneath the grain
Learning from a teacher
Written in a book
They turned my mind to a painted lie
Of how the land was took
I heard a scream, manifest destiny
Did they stop to wonder
I would see I'd been deceived
Torn by love for country
And desire for the truth
Should I have known right from the start
What they were forced to do
