A gift too big to be tangible,
Appreciate it while you are here,
With it, within it, a part of the whole,
The whole of parts.
Falling, tumbling,
Laughing, sleeping.
I dreamt of a fountain-filled garden that I passed,
The pond and the water spoke, “Embrace me,” it said,
Reached down, plunged under,
A voice said, “She is your soul bride,”
Broke free from the surface in a field full of flowers,
You were there.
Blue-green grasses, blue-green grasses,
Blue-green grasses cradle us,
Underneath Orion’s belt as we two melt into sun.
As violets…violets spring from your eyes,
Into my hands outstretched, loving and warm.
Into my hands.
Who made red, yellow, purple?
We’re spinning around in wonderment,
Spring forth dust blossoms to life,
I’m planting a seed; its fruit meets my steps.
Well, I’m thinking about it, learning from what I don’t understand,
A slow, deliberate, watchful eye in my head .
Blue-green grasses, blue-green grasses,
Blue-green grasses cradle us,
Underneath Orion’s belt as we two melt into sun.
To go tumbling down,
Landing softly,
Adoring earth,
Such love,
Simple immeasure,
Cool fall evening,
Melt away with your mind.
Who made all this surrounding?
Where did it come from?
Spinning ‘round in wonderment,
Who gave us this?
How was it done?
I just can’t comprehend,
Oh, I just can’t comprehend,
No, I just can’t comprehend.
Pass me the water,
I’ll pour it slowly,
Drink your fill until you’re done,
One cup left, thrown to the desert,
Suddenly oceans run.
Blue-green grasses, blue-green grasses,
Blue-green grasses cradle us,
Underneath Orion’s belt as we two melt into sun.
