Saw a friend, a brother of mine, lost touch some time ago
I’ve wondered just how you are and Jesus do you know
busy day, no time to say, no time to follow through
catch you on the next time around, there’s always time to witness to
Are you lost and all alone? or will you find your way back home?
will you finally see the way? will you call on Jesus’ name?
will you turn and walk away? from the life we used to play? I didn’t take the time to ask or know, where are you now?
I got the news just the other day, about this brother this friend of mine
his life was taken away, seemed long before his time
looking back on all the times I could have witnessed to
I just wish I had only known his life was nearly through
Are you lost and all alone? or did you find your way back home?
did you finally see the way? Or did you call on Jesus’ name?
did you turn and walk away? from the life we used to play?
I wish that I could know somehow, where are you? Where are you now?
How many good friends and loved ones if passed away today
that in the back of your mind you know you’d have to say
Where are they now? are they lost and all alone?
where are they now? do you show them the way home?
where are they now? do you help them see the way?
where are they now? show them Jesus every day? where are they now? don’t turn and walk away.
where are they now? you gotta tell them Jesus saves
where are they now? you better use the gifts God gave
‘cause one day it will be too late, and you never want to have to say
where are you now?
