it's more than the 9-5 or what you drive
it's all about your life and how you live it right
it's not about the paper but is not about the lint
it's not what you got and it's not what you want
it's not about the struggle or how you getting there
it's more about the travel and the lessons that appear
and what you learn from them will help you persevere
building your character up every single year
there's more than meets the eye cause we can't see all
intentions and motives at times don't get notice
agendas get in the way and cause a shift
how you act or react can cause a split
relationship drift and they take a hit
it's more than you or me and what we can't see
I live day by day and step it like a dance
counting all my moves cause it's all about a balance
too much of anything can make you bloated up
but if you lacking in something it can also mess you up
anemic to the spirit like you need a little iron
take a booster shot from this rhythm that am on
you might need more than milk to get your spirit up
cause a man is not an island and needs to eat up
is the law of the spirit you need to stand up
and when things go sour you need to man up
it's more than living life is living with a purpose
it's more than knowledge is knowing when to use it
it's more that just words in putting them together
it's more than just rhymes is saying something with them
it' more than just the spirit is asking it for guidance
to maneuver through this earth and everything around
cause if you stop listen this world is unsound
like the record just skipped and thew off the crowd
don't try to take it in cause you'll get a bitter taste
just stick to your pace and give a little grace
cause we all in this struggle we all in this race
it matters how you run it so fall into place
no bodies really perfect everybody got faults
I ain't here to point them out but help when you fall
most times it'll be me acquainted with the floor
cause God only knows that i need more
