At the window of my house
I looked out through.
I saw among the simple,
I noticed among the young men
A youth who lacked judgment.
As he walked towards her house,
The night was setting in,
Death was getting closer.
Say to wisdom 'you are my sister'
And call understanding your kinsmen.
They will keep you from the adulteress,
From the wayward wife (And her seductive ways).
With persuasive words she'll lead astray,
Her house is a highway to the grave.
She is loud and defiant,
Her feet never stay at home.
She took hold and kissed him,
And with a brazen face she said:
"Come, lets drink deep of love till morning,
Let's enjoy ourselves with love!"

like a deer stepping in a noose
Until an arrow pierced my lung
I'm a bird darting into a snare
And I'm taking to the bait
Never knowing what it will cost.
Many are the victims she has brought down,
Her slain are a mighty horde.
Her house is a highway to the grave,
Leading down to chambers of death
