Standing alone hard as stone, wondering where I belong, where I belong. I am white as a ghost, contained, but I hope to get out of here somehow.
I am on display, expressions are glazed. My arms and here lay my legs, I am helpless. I am immobile in motion, paralytic emotion. I would move, but it's not allowed. But please don't break me. Don't watch me break. Break me, but you can't take my faith. You think you've gotten the best of me. In truth it's only been physically. Break me, but don't watch me break. Break me, but you can't break my heart. Break me, but I am worth more than the stars. You think my worth is defined in nickels and dimes, but this heart of gold cannot be sold. You will never know the purest of souls. You could never know, you'll never know. I am fragile to touch, I feel nothing but, the cracks in my skin lay porcelain. And I can't find the glue to put back what you've removed in pieces I am in pieces. But please don't break me. Don't watch me break. Break me, but you can't take my faith. You think you've gotten the best of me. In truth it's only been physically. My lips are plastered shut and painted to perfection, I've got two eyes and they've seen what I could not mention, and if only I could smell the Jasmine as it blooms outside my window, but I am stuck up on this shelf, and claiming oxygen. The dust has filled my lungs and its so hard to breath in. I just want to sing it. But please don't, Break me. Don't watch me break. Break me, but you can't take my faith. You think you've gotten the best of me. In truth it's only been physically. You can try to fake escape but It'll catch up to you one day. A little hope is all it takes to know that in His hands He creates...the earth and sky and all inside and me a spark inside His eyes. My hope is measured in nothing less than timeless love in a priceless friend. So break me, break me, but I am worth more than the stars.
