Young Shepherd living alone
Withdrawn from Love’s contentment
Young Shepherd living in pain
His heart long fixed on a shepherd girl
And His heart is an open wound of Love
Young Shepherd weeping alone
But not from the death of the wound of Love
For there is no pain in Love’s wound
He weeps for He knows she’s forgotten Him
And this one thought that His shepherd girl
Has forgotten Him
Causes Him such pain that he gives Himself up
In a foreign land
To find His shining one
The Shepherd pitied this one
Who drew herself back from the wound of Love
To call her He climbed up Love’s tree
And spread His shining arms
And He died
Yet He lives in this open wound of Love
And the Shepherd girl then knew that she was loved
