As I lie and view my last breath
I see a figure in the way,
He says, “A man of worldly means by no means
Can enter through the needle’s eye.”
He says,
“You believe you’re going to heaven,
You believe there is no hell.
You believe you’re going to heaven,
Well, heaven’s gates they’re not for sale.”
“Will you not cast off your riches
In a bid to free your soul,
Consider me your life’s deposit,
You’ll hold a life that can’t be sold.”
He says,
“You believe you’re going to heaven,
You believe there is no hell.
You believe you’re going to heaven,
Well, heaven’s gates they’re not for sale.”
O my soul march, march, on in strength now
I hear the hope of Your words
I see the wound in Your side
I see this stranger is Jesus yeah
I feel the hold of His love
I heed His warning to me
I see His cross and its price
Can’t buy the cost of my soul no, no
I know He’s paid for it all
And I say,
“I believe I’m going to heaven.
I know there is a hell but not for me,
‘cause I believe, in Jesus Christ the Saviour,
Son of God who died for me.”
Don’t keep pushing that camel
That camel’s gonna break your back
