Rock group The Persuaded has announced the departure of their drummer, Trent Russell, due to health reasons. The band has also announced his replacement, Stephan Cannon. 

Fans may recognize Stephan Cannon from playing with bands Spoken, Zahna, and most recently, Silversyde, or from being on the road with Seventh Day Slumber.

Trent took to social media to share: "I've had 9 amazing years with this band and I've loved every second of it and the opportunities I had. Leaving this band is hard and it hurts to walk away being one of the founding members of the band, but I know God's peace is with me and the guys, I know He will carry us through this hard time." 

The Persuaded further added: "Trent has been a vital part of this band literally since day 1. We love him so very much. And we are so honored to have gotten to play with him for all these years. We wish him the very best and ask that everyone be praying for his health and for his future endeavors. We love you Trent!!"
