Recently on social media, after weeks of hints online from several prominent worship leaders, the news has officially dropped of a new powerhouse worship supergroup. The group, Sons of Sunday, features Brandon Lake, Chris Brown of Elevation Worship, Chandler Moore of Maverick City Music, Pat Barrett, Leeland, and Pastor Steven Furtick of Elevation Church.
Although not much has been revealed about the group yet, fans' excitement continues to grow at the hints of an album, merchandise, and possible tour to come. Their first song, "God Did," drops on January 17 and will give us the first taste of the supergroup's upcoming project.
"Some of my best friends and lovers of worship have united to bring you Heavenly-infused ear candy that I pray leaves you inspired and closer to God. We are sons that have been largely raised and impacted by what happens on Sunday," Brandon posted along with the announcement. Leeland also shared on the collective: "Well, I'm not too sure I have the words to describe this special journey I've been on with my friends except that, the discovery of the living God in the mystery of making music might be one of the common denominator's in this group of sons."
